Privacy notice
A full privacy notice under the Mexican Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
1. Data controller
The company operating BidMexico is the controller of your personal data. Its name, address and contact email will be published in this section before the first auction.
2. Data we handle
Identity and contact data (name, email address, telephone), the data on your official ID when you are cleared to bid, and site usage data. We handle no card data: the platform takes no payments.
3. Primary purposes
Creating and running your account, verifying your identity, letting you bid, sending the auction alerts you ask for, and meeting the identification duties that apply to vulnerable activities under Mexican law.
4. Secondary purposes
Improving the site and measuring its use in aggregate. You may object to these purposes without affecting your participation in an auction.
5. Email alerts
If you ask for alerts on a lot or a saved search, we use your address for that alone. Every message carries an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.
6. Transfers
We share your data with the notario acting on the transaction and with the seller when you win an auction, and with the technology providers that run the site and the email. We do not sell your data.
7. Retention
Identification files are kept for five years from the transaction, under the Mexican anti-money-laundering rules that apply to vulnerable activities. Other data is kept while our relationship with you lasts.
8. ARCO rights
You may ask to access, rectify, cancel or object to the handling of your data, and may withdraw your consent, by writing to the controller’s contact address. We answer within the statutory periods.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep your session, and aggregate usage measurement. We use no third-party advertising cookies.
10. Security
Pack documents are held in private storage and opened through short-lived links. Your official ID never appears on a public page.
11. Changes to this notice
We publish any change on this page, with its date. Substantial changes are emailed to registered users.
